Dr. Juan Carvajal Quintero
Wissenschaftliches Profil
My research focuses on understanding how distribution patterns of biodiversity are achieved and how global environmental change may affect these patterns, emphasizing freshwater fishes. To do this, I use and integrate different data types and analytical frameworks that allow me to explore different perspectives on biodiversity's origin, maintenance, and reshaping. I am also interested in applying this knowledge to support conservation and decision-making in tackling the main problems people and nature face today.
