sConsume - How does biodiversity drive disease and herbivory in a changing world?

First meeting: 22.-26.01.2024

Project summary:
Despite clear effects of plant diversity on different consumers such as herbivores and pathogens, it is unclear whether similar or different processes drive these relationships. This knowledge is important to predict how ongoing changes in biodiversity will impact patterns of disease and herbivory in our changing world. We will review literature to develop a common framework and apply it to published and unpublished data to quantitatively assess whether similar or different mechanisms drive relationships between biodiversity and different plant consumers.
