In this seminar, you will get an overview of design principles and strategies and also common software for creating posters and figures. You will get advice on where to find tutorials and inspiration, what possible sources of visual material you can use and what you need to consider in terms of copyright. You are welcome to ask design questions from your everyday work that you have always wanted to ask. As this seminar is intended to provide an overview of the broad spectrum of media design, no hands-on exercises are planned.
Lecturers
... has been iDiv's media designer since 2014. He studied media engineering with focus on video production and afterwards media design with focus on print and screen design. Since 2010, he's been working as a professional Media Designer for various clients from different industries (e.g., culture, retail, suppliers, medicine) on a freelance basis.
