iDiv Scientific Events Call 2025
At a glance:
The iDiv Speaker Board invites applications for integrative scientific events that
- support initiatives of strategic importance for iDiv research,
- contribute to its strategic mission, and
- benefit the iDiv community.
All iDiv members are eligible to apply, applications have to be submitted before 13 December 2024, 11:59 am CET (midday) (for scientific events in 2025). Proposals have to be submitted to the Scientific Networks Unit (flexpool@idiv.de), please use the template provided below.

iDiv Strategic Investment Call 2025
At a glance:
The iDiv Speaker Board invites proposals for strategic investments in scientific instruments or small equipment. Investments may be requested for strategic infrastructure (e.g., platforms) or individual (long-term) projects, costs for staff (or student helpers), replacement purchases, repairs or servicing of existing equipment cannot be funded. The main criterion for the evaluation will be the strategic significance for iDiv (supporting iDiv’s research program and mission). Whenever possible, the equipment or instrument should also be made available to the iDiv community.
All full iDiv members are eligible to apply, proposals have to be submitted before Friday, 28 February 2025, 11:59 am CET (midday) to the Scientific Networks Unit (flexpool@idiv.de) using the template provided below.

Call for iDiv ‘Seed Fund’ proposals (2024-2025)
At a glance:
The iDiv 'Seed Fund' supports proposals that
- aim to attract additional funding from third parties with a focus on coordinated research programs, or
- significantly increase the visibility of iDiv.
In addition, proposals have to contribute to iDiv’s strategic mission
- To understand the biodiversity of life on Earth in its complexity, functions, and interactions with people
- To develop scientific knowledge for the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, together with the international scientific community and society
- To advance the field of integrative biodiversity research, through scholarly contributions, education, capacity building, and the promotion of early career researchers
All full iDiv members are eligible to apply, applications will be accepted on a rolling basis starting September 09, 2024 through February 28, 2025 (conditional on the availability of funds). More details (criteria, evaluation) can be found in the PDF document below. Proposals need to be submitted to the Scientific Networks Unit (flexpool@idiv.de) as a single PDF-file (please use the template provided below).

Flexpool Support Fund Call 2025
At a glance:
The iDiv Speaker Board invites proposals for the Flexpool Support Fund, which aims at promoting integrative research projects among scientists within the iDiv consortium. The Support Fund supports small projects, e.g., student or research assistants, workshops, travel costs, consumables, etc. that contribute to the iDiv strategic mission.
All iDiv associate members are eligible to apply. Applications have to be submitted before 06 December 2024, 11:59 am CET (midday) to the Scientific Networks Unit (flexpool@idiv.de) using the template provided below.
