New study: Fitness Check of EU Common Agricultural Policy

Brussels. Scientists of the iDiv consortium present today in Brussels a Fitness Check assessment of the EU Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). The study “Is the CAP fit for the future of farming?” was carried out by a team of researchers including scientists from iDiv, the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), Leipzig University (UL), the Friedrich Schiller University Jena (FSU) and the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU). Among them are first author Guy Pe’er (iDiv, UFZ, UL), Aletta Bonn (UFZ, iDiv, FSU) and Bernd Hansjürgens (UFZ, MLU, iDiv). The study was commissioned by the non-governmental organisations BirdLife Europe & Central Asia, European Environmental Bureau, and NABU (BirdLife Germany).
